ABB in the Czech Republic

ABB’s products and services have been present in the Czech Republic since 1970. However, the first ABB company branch in the country was officially established in 1992. During the 1990s, the group of ABB companies grew to give rise to the present-day ABB s.r.o., which currently operates in 8 locations. ABB’s major engineering and R&D centres and 7 manufacturing plant are in Praha, Brno, Ostrava, Trutnov and Jablonec nad Nisou.

More than 70 percent of the company’s production is exported, which testifies to the high quality of products made by ABB Czech Republic. The Brno manufacturing plant for switchgear, transformers and MV sensors is the largest MV and HV instrument transformer manufacturing facility in the world.
