Our R&D in Brno

In Brno, we are proud to be part of Yunex Traffic – a global leader in intelligent traffic systems. Our technology is changing how people move through cities. We develop solutions that make mobility smoother, safer, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly. And we do it with purpose – to create results that truly matters. We started as part of Siemens over 100 years ago, and today we’re a strong part of the independent Yunex Traffic brand. Our Brno team includes more than 80 developers, testers, and traffic engineers working across continents – closely collaborating with colleagues in Germany, the US or the UK.

What do we work on?

At our Center of Competence for IoT and Cloud Apps, we focus on projects that have a direct impact on everyday life in smart cities:

• DevOps & Cloud – We offer hybrid cloud solutions. We build microservice architectures for traffic management systems, automate testing and deployment, and ensure high system availability and scalability.

• AI & Machine Learning – We teach systems to predict traffic situations, optimize flows, protect pedestrians, and share upcoming traffic light states with drivers in real time.

• IoT Platforms – We develop solutions for the remote management, configuration, and updating of field-deployed traffic devices.

• Traffic Simulation & Planning – We build tools for designing and testing advanced traffic control algorithms that improve safety and efficiency at intersections and in tunnels.
