Bio
I am a materials scientist focused on the development of various inorganic nanomaterials with a strong focus on their employment, especially in catalytic, energy conversion, and cosmetic applications. In my role as a group leader and a senior researcher at CEITEC BUT I lead a group of very skilled and talented people at different career levels (from Ph.D. students through fresh postdocs up to senior researchers), and we try to combat the current and upcoming challenges of the material´s world to make our nanomaterials more efficient, more green and also more sustainable then the currently used materials.

3 things you love about Brno?
For me, Brno is a very cultural and vibrant city with strong genius loci. The South Moravian region has the same features (especially to mention the wine culture). I truly appreciate the outstanding hospitality of the city for researchers from all around the World. Last but not least, I really admire the network of open-access facilities with the CEITEC consortium, including CEITEC Nano open-access infrastructure, which provides great research opportunities and services for people and sustains the growth of the Brno region.
