Bio

I am a lecturer in bioinformatics at the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University and head of the Loschmidt Laboratories focused on protein engineering at the International Clinical Research Center of St. Anne's University Hospital in Brno. Our scientific team develops software tools and AI models for the design of proteins useful in biomedicine and biotechnology. We also develop drugs for the treatment of stroke and Alzheimer's disease.

What did Brno give you?
My life journey is connected to Brno, South Moravia and Masaryk University. Brno is a great place to live. It offers the advantages of a big city, such as rich cultural activities, sports facilities and well-functioning public transport. At the same time, it is small enough to feel safe and at home.
3 things you love about Brno?
My parents come from Čejkovice. I like the South Moravian warmth, high quality Moravian wines, caves of Moravian Karst and Santini's church in Křtiny.
