Bio
I am a chemist with an interest in hydrogen technology, a lawyer specializing in IT law and a native Brno resident. Openness in science, urban development and public space management are topics that have long interested me. Fortunately, in my work, they interconnect and complement each other. As head of the EOSC-CZ Secretariat at the Institute of Computer Science at Masaryk University, I am working on setting up an optimal environment for research data management in the Czech Republic. In addition, I am developing the concept of open science, i.e. science that is sufficiently transparent and collaborative. Open science will enable us as a society to use and contribute to scientific knowledge and will bring benefits in the form of innovation, more effective problem solving and greater trust in science itself. I am actively involved in the Open Cities Association, where we are working to digitise local government using freely available open source software. I am also interested in the field of IT law, which I try to raise awareness and popularise in the Open Content organisation. And my passion project is the Science Party, where we bring science and research to the public - Serious Topic + Fun = Serious Fun. :)
What did Brno give you?
As a person born and raised in Brno, it gives me de facto everything. Work, friends, family and especially the unique environment of the biggest village in the Czech Republic, which I love. "Just Brno" has a very important connotation for a person born here.
3 things you love about Brno?
People, they're just the best.

Opportunities, since Brno is small enough to "manage anything", but on the other hand big enough to "do world class things".

The way it is gradually developing and the people and everything else. :)
