Bio
I've been interested in games in various forms since I was a kid, and I didn't really notice when it turned from a hobby to a job, and from a job to a career. I went from making up fighting games for children's summer camps, to a fascination with the first home computers, my first board games, a few years of developing computer games at Altar interactive studio, to co-founding the board game publishing company (and their mobile adaptations) Czech Games Edition, which is building a reputation for Czech games among gamers around the world. As a gamer, I like a wide range of games, and my author portfolio is similarly broad, from challenging multi-hour strategy games to party games like Pictomania or Codenames.
What did Brno give you?
In my early twenties I fell in love with Brno as "the right size city". Big enough to find people in my neighbourhood with whom I share values and interests, and not so big that I meet too many people who think that living there is a matter of prestige. All of this is reinforced by the fact that it's a college town. And nice and quiet, which I appreciated during the long hours we wandered the night streets, talking about life, the universe, and everything. I also live just near a forest, so I have nature and civilization within easy reach. For me, the perfect place to live.
3 things you love about Brno?
Family, friends, colleagues. And the fact that these three groups overlap nicely. :)
