Brno-based startup DYNANIC, born at the Brno University of Technology (VUT), has secured a €550,000 investment from deeptech fund Tensor Ventures and a group of angel investors, including former experts from Dell, AMD, Intel, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. This marks the first investment from Tensor Ventures’ newly launched second fund.

A Chip Revolution from University Brno: Tensor Ventures and Angel Investors Inject Nearly €550,000 into DYNANIC

Formerly known as BrnoLogic, DYNANIC specializes in technology that simplifies the use of programmable chips (FPGAs), significantly boosting their throughput and usability in high-performance applications. These advancements are particularly crucial for technologies like artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and data centers, where speed and efficiency are paramount.

Czech Technology on the Global Stage

DYNANIC has developed an integrated solution that enables companies to harness the power of programmable chips without requiring in-house expertise. Their technology is already being utilized by industry leaders such as Intel, AMD, Kakao Corp, and Kaloom Networks.

Founder Pavol Korček and his team spent over two decades perfecting the technology. “FPGA chips are a technological marvel, but programming them is incredibly complex. Our mission was to make this process as accessible and efficient as possible, so every chip can perform at its best,” explains Korček.

Investment as a Catalyst for Growth

The funding from Tensor Ventures and angel investors will enable DYNANIC to position itself among the global leaders in the chip industry. “We are targeting hyperscaler companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. Our goal is not to sell our technology quickly but to establish ourselves as a proud Czech supplier of groundbreaking solutions,” adds Korček.

Tensor Ventures is a global deeptech fund focusing on cutting-edge technologies, including quantum chips, biotechnology, and space tech. This investment marks their first foray into semiconductor software and the first-ever support for a university spin-off from the Czech Republic.

University Spin-Offs: The Future of Czech Innovation

According to Tensor Ventures’ founders, DYNANIC is a prime example of how universities can transform their innovations into global successes, securing funds for further development. “Czech universities have immense potential that, through spin-offs like DYNANIC, can be turned into global achievements. We are proud to be part of this journey,” says Roman Smola from Tensor Ventures.
