Bio
After completing doctoral studies and a postdoctoral position in Spain in 2021, I returned to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and CEITEC of Brno University of Technology. I deal with research at the interface of light (nano)optics, electron microscopy and spectroscopy. Since 2023, I have been leading a young research group, for which I got a prestigious Junior Star grant from the Czech Science Foundation.
What did Brno give you?
The studies of Physical Engineering and Nanotechnology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Brno gave me an excellent knowledge base and also directed me towards a scientific career and doctoral studies abroad. However, I have gladly returned to Brno: a unique background in electron microscopy and the possibility to develop my research further were two of many reasons. Furthermore, I am happy to work with excellent students we have in Brno.
3 things you love about Brno?
I like the neighbourhood of nature, not big-city-like spirit, and Brno Philharmonic.
