You heard it first from a Nobel Laureate: #brnoregion should be on every student's radar. In the latest Hyde Park Civilization interview, Professor Richard Henderson recommended students start their academic career in Brno – the centre of research and development for electron microscopy.

Richard Henderson (born 19 July 1945) is a British molecular biologist and biophysicist and pioneer in the field of electron microscopy of biological molecules. Henderson shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2017 with Jacques Dubochet and Joachim Frank.

The centre, located in one of Europe’s strongest regions for chip design, will focus on supporting innovation, prototyping, and the growth of European fabless companies. As the Czech national competence centre under the European Chips Act, CSC aims to strengthen Europe’s semiconductor independence.
